The tilt of his head, the softening of his features as he smiled at her and that relaxing stride. What almost seemed forever cut through her consciousness as he made his way towards her. It was then that she noticed those couples huddled in hushed conversations, flowery promises of love pledged for eternity floating in the air, when it was unlikely to last beyond the dazzle of the evening.
